Of course, you can be figuring the geometry
for the next frame while the current frame is
being rendered by the V2200. The tradeoff here
is increased frame-latency. Triple buffering has a
similar disadvantage.

This is a curious idea. I have been thinking
about using various tileish hacks for certain
parts of a scene that can be calculated easily
through the model and that consist of a large
number of polygons or a large amount of overlap.
